Well, there's a lot more to add before I'm up-to-date in posting concept art, but at least I've hit my first major milestone in the process! As of today, all the interesting pieces from the GOING ROGUE era have been uploaded and sorted into their own folder. Of course I've got many fond memories from creating all this stuff, and it's close to my heart, but I think my newer material is a quite a bit stronger, and that's what I'm really looking forward to posting here.
In the 18 or so months that followed GR production, I resumed my role as a full-time concept artist (having been Art Lead for over a year prior), and really got back into painting. For the game's relaunch as CITY OF HEROES FREEDOM, we developed an entirely new painting style for both concept and public-facing marketing projects, and that's where I think the work starts to gain some real traction: it's a good match for the brand and (much to my surprise) for the way I work. In the COH FREEDOM work that I'll be posting soon, the style's a lot more layered and textural, and while it's definitely still painted work, it's moving in a semi-realistic direction.
I'm really happy with the results, but I'll let you guys be the actual judge of that.
